Cheqaat ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Cheqaat is a desktop application. The majority of its functionality works completely offline, and your financial data never leaves your device.

We collect minimal information necessary to provide and improve our services:

• Email address — provided during registration or purchase, used for license verification and support
• Purchase information — billing name and address, processed through our payment provider
• Crash reports — anonymous error logs (only if you opt in during installation)
• App version and OS — used for compatibility support

We explicitly do not collect:

• Cheque data — payee names, amounts, dates, or any financial information you enter
• Bank account details or banking credentials
• Document content or print history
• Location data
• Any data from third-party services or your file system

The limited data we collect is used solely to:

• Verify your license and provide access to purchased features
• Send product updates and release notes (you may unsubscribe at any time)
• Provide customer support when you contact us
• Improve application stability via anonymous crash reports (opt-in only)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share data with trusted service providers (such as payment processors) strictly to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, under confidentiality agreements.

All data transmitted to our servers uses TLS encryption. Payment information is handled entirely by our payment processor and we never store full card numbers.

Your local Cheqaat data is stored in your operating system's secure application data folder and is never accessible to other applications.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@cheqaat.com
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email
• Withdraw consent for crash reporting by uninstalling and reinstalling without the opt-in

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify users via email if changes are material.
